Best Times to Visit Rome
The busiest season in Rome stretches from early April through October, especially around Easter and summer holidays. In July and August, many locals head to the coast to escape the heat, leaving the city less crowded, but much warmer. November to March offers fewer crowds and milder weather.
Accessibilty
Much of Rome is best explored on foot, which can be a challenge for some people. Expect cobblestones and stairs, especially in historic sites. Wear supportive shoes, use metros and trams to take breaks from walking, and stay hydrated while exploring.
